Elastic: Cylastic and Strepper®

There are two ways to bundle products with rubber bands: using an elastic binder and a rubber band, or using an Elastobinder and a Strepper®.

With an elastic binder, a single rubber band is automatically placed around the product. The rubber band comes from a large roll (1000 or 3000 meters), from which a small piece is automatically cut and used, then closed with a knot each time.

When using an Elastobinder, Streppers® are fed into the machine from a separate roll. The machine secures the Strepper®, and the product is placed within the stretched elastic. The Elastobinder slowly releases the Strepper®, resulting in a tightly secured product. Streppers® are very soft and suitable even for delicate products.

For more information, please refer below for the types of elastic bands and Streppers® available.

What is an Elastic Cylastic and Strepper?

An elastic binder, also known as an elastobinder, is a flexible and adaptable bundling equipment used in the packaging business to secure and bundle diverse items and containers. Usually, it comprises of a sturdy elastic cord that can be stretched and wrapped around objects to form a tight-fitting bundle. For packing specialists, elastic binders provide a practical and affordable method of combining boxes, cartons, and goods of erratic shape. In a variety of packaging applications, elastic binders are essential for streamlining the packaging process and lowering the requirement for extra packaging materials.

A single rubber band is automatically wrapped around the goods when using an elastic binder. These rubber bands are packaged on a lengthy roll that might measure up to 1000 or 3000 metres. Every time, a tiny amount is mechanically administered, clipped, and knotted to keep it in place. An Elastobinder functions a little differently thanks to parts referred to as Streppers®. The machine receives these Streppers® on a separate roll. Even delicate or fragile things can be tied tightly with the soft Strepper® thanks to the machine's secure Strepper®, positioning of the product within the stretched elastic, and progressive release of the Strepper®.

Elastic cord binders are a useful tool for bundling and fastening a variety of products in the packaging business since they include a number of essential functions. One of these characteristics is an adjustable tension control, which enables tightness to be tailored to varied product sizes and packaging needs. They are adaptable and can handle a variety of product sizes and shapes, making the bundling process easier. Another benefit of elastic cord binders is that they are simple to use, allowing for efficient wrapping with no complicated setup. They improve product safety and integrity during transit and storage by forming a strong, tamper-evident seal. These binders are also economical, eliminating the need for extra packaging supplies like tape or strapping, making them a sensible option for packaging specialists.

Elastic binders and elastic streppers, which in the packaging business are probably versions of strapping or bundling techniques, have a number of advantages. By successfully binding goods together, these solutions improve the security and stability of packages during transit and storage. Their flexibility enables adaptability, allowing for a range of product sizes and shapes. By eliminating the need for superfluous packaging supplies like tape or shrink wrap, they also offer cost-efficiency. Additionally, helping to create tamper-evident packaging and improving product safety are elastic binders and streppers. Overall, these techniques make packaging procedures more efficient, cut down on material waste, and raise the standard of bundled items, making them useful tools for the packaging sector.

Several important considerations must be considered when choosing packaging supplies and machinery in the packaging sector. The nature and qualities of the products being packaged, including their size, shape, weight, fragility, and any unique handling requirements, are crucial in the first place. Second, it's important to assess the environmental factors that could affect packaging materials during transit and storage, such as temperature, humidity, and exposure to the outdoors. The materials picked should also be compliant with legal criteria and sustainability aims. It's important to consider the amount of production, the level of automation required, and compatibility with existing equipment. The final considerations in choosing the best packaging options for a particular operation are financial limitations and cost effectiveness.
