Stretch film, sometimes referred to as stretch wrap or pallet wrap, is a highly elastic and flexible plastic film that is extensively utilised in the packaging sector. Usually constructed of polyethylene or a similar material, it is intended to tightly wrap around objects or pallets in order to secure, protect, and bundle them while in storage, transit, or shipping. When stretched, stretch film sticks to itself, sealing the things in a tight, conforming seal that firmly holds them together. It is a versatile and crucial packaging material for securing loads of various sizes and shapes in a variety of sectors because it provides benefits such load containment, protection from dust and moisture, tamper-evident security, and ease of handling.
The stretch film is suitable for a wide range of products, from boxes to doors and sensitive products. Wrapping films are available in black and white. White protects the products from UV radiation and by using black film outsiders can’t see the product, or it helps to identify the packaging. In addition, breathable perforated films are available, for example for flower deliveries and packaging of fresh products.
Very often, our customers who use a pallet wrapper do not get the full potential out of their machine. By using the right stretch film and utilising all the features of the machine, wrapping costs can be reduced and the environmental impact can be minimised. We will be happy to answer any queries and help you identify the features of your machine. The correct type of stretch film is thus selected according to the stretch wrapper used by the customer. For example, turntable-, arm-, ring– or robot wrappers can be used. The choice is influenced by the quality of the machine and, for example, whether the machine has a pre-stretch feature. Pre-stretching allows the wrapping film to be stretched longer, allowing it to last longer. See above for more details on our range. We will be happy to help you find the right products.
